Operate Now: Ear Surgery is a realistic surgery game in which you are the surgeon! Today, you’ll help your patient get a cochlear implant.

Billy has lost around 60% of his hearing. He’s decided to get a cochlear implant. You’re going to place a medical device behind Billy’s ear to improve his hearing. 

You’ll surgically implant a receiver directly behind his ear, and embed electrodes in a part of Billy’s inner ear called the cochlea. This way, the device can bypass the damaged parts of Billy’s inner ear.

How to play Operate Now: Ear Surgery?

This game has two game modes. During the first round, you play the game as a surgical intern. Follow realistic step-by-step instructions to help your patient. Your colleague, Lara, will tell you what you need to do and which surgical instruments you need.

To operate, tap on the surgical instruments you need to pick them up. Then tap on the areas marked with the circles to perform the right actions. You’ll have to make an incision behind the ear, and drill a tiny hole in Billy’s skull. Attach the receiver and keep in it place with some sutures. Carefully feed the electrodes through the little hole and into the cochlea. 

When the cochlear implant in in place, you can close the little hole you’ve drilled with some special bone paste. Lastly, close the incision neatly with some small sutures.

When you’ve successfully completed this surgery with Lara’s help, you unlock the expert mode. You can now try it again, without any instructions. Can you still remember how to do the procedure exactly the right way? If you make too many mistakes, your patient will be rushed to the E.R. and you lose the game!
